How can we protect and manage the whole Manila Bay in a more sustainable manner?
Wetlands International in the Philippines proposes 10 recommendations or practical solutions to the current natural and man-made hazards in Manila Bay, with a focus on the northern coast.
At present, Manila Bay needs an integrated approach that will promote sustainability and resilience. Hence, we support the application of Building with Nature which combines disaster risk reduction + climate change adaptation + ecosystem management and restoration.
Strategies are based on the technical report by Mr. Arne Jensen, published by the IUCN Netherlands and Wetlands International.
