Our Strategy

The Strategic Intent (2020-2030) sets out how we work as an organization and the targets we have set for ourselves for the coming years.

Our History

Wetlands International Philippines started operating in the Philippines in December 2016 under a hosting agreement between Wetlands International and the World Wide Fund for Nature Philippines (WWF-Philippines). We implemented the Partners for Resilience Project 2016-2020: Integrated Risk Management followed Building with Nature Asia – Philippines: nature-based solution to flooding (2020-2021) and to Plant or Not to Plant (mangroves) Project (2021 to date).

After six years, we became a non-government organization (NGO) registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as Latian Internasyonal Pilipinas Inc. in 2022. We continue to work with the global network of Wetlands International as well as experts, fellow NGOs, government, and community groups in the Philippines.
